About
A hobby aviary, kept and written about
I'm Gigi. I keep birds in a home aviary in the Greater Atlanta, Georgia area — as a hobby, not as a business. The flights, the seasons and every bird in them are documented here first-hand, with my own photographs.
An aviary is a different way of raising birds from hand-feeding indoors. Birds raised out in a flight are more independent, more physically capable, and behave differently with people. Neither approach is better; they simply produce different birds, and this site is about the aviary side.

What about Gigi's Birds?
Gigi's Birds is the hand-fed side — chicks raised indoors and fed by hand. Different birds, different writing, same keeper.
